The African Union Innovating Education in Africa (IEA) 2025 Call for Submissions seeks education-focused organizations solving real-world challenges using creative, scalable approaches. The initiative has empowered over 180 innovations and committed over $1 million in technical and financial support since its inception.
This year, the African Union is calling on education innovators to submit practical, tested, and scalable education innovations that can transform the future of learning across the continent.
🔍 Purpose of the Program
Incentivize identification and solving of key education and skills development challenges in Africa.
Support the adoption, replication, and scale-up of proven innovations.
Promote collaboration between education innovators, institutions, and African governments.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be citizens of an AU Member State.
Be part of a legally registered organization with a verifiable education innovation implemented in at least one AU Member State.
Be directly managing the innovation (not as intermediaries).
Submit only one innovation (multiple submissions will lead to disqualification).
Not be previous IEA grant recipients.

Brief description of the challenge being addressed (max 100 words).
