The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has intensified its nationwide awareness campaign with a sensitisation visit to the Oleh Campus of Delta State University (DELSU), aimed at deepening students’ understanding of its Student Loan Initiative.
The NELFUND delegation was led by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Akintunde Sawyerr. Other members of the team included Dr Zino Ugboma, Director of Human Resources; Mr Nasir Ayitogo, Technical Assistant to the MD/CE; Mr Yomi Gbadabosi, Personal Assistant to the MD/CE; Ms Olamide Alayaki, Personal Assistant to the MD/CE; and Dr Petrolina Osobase, Assistant Manager, Monitoring and Evaluation.

The visit was hosted by Engr. PST. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, the member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency.
Speaking during the engagement, Sawyerr explained that the sensitisation programme was designed to ensure students receive accurate and comprehensive information about the interest-free loan scheme, including the application process, eligibility requirements, and repayment structure.
He encouraged students to take advantage of the initiative, which is intended to support tuition payments and upkeep costs, while also stressing the importance of fully understanding the terms and conditions attached to the facility.
The interactive session allowed students to seek clarification on key aspects of the scheme, address concerns, and gain first-hand insight into how NELFUND processes applications and disburses funds.
NELFUND reiterated its commitment to ensuring that no eligible Nigerian student is denied access to higher education due to financial constraints, as it continues its sensitisation drive across tertiary institutions nationwide.
