The Graduate Engineer Trainee role is designed as an intensive training program that equips participants with practical and technical knowledge in key areas of manufacturing operations. Trainees will gain experience in production processes, preventive and corrective maintenance, utilities management, troubleshooting, process optimization, quality systems, safety standards, and engineering project execution.
Selected candidates will work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams while learning to operate and maintain production and packaging machinery. They will also support fault diagnosis and repairs, participate in preventive and predictive maintenance, monitor equipment performance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, trainees will be required to prepare technical reports and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
To be eligible, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Automation/Instrumentation Engineering. A minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) or Upper Credit is preferred. Candidates should have between zero to two years of post-graduation experience and must have completed or be currently undergoing NYSC.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, teamwork, and a genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing are essential for success in this role. Candidates must also be willing to work in a factory environment and operate on shift schedules when required.
