The Nigerian Education Loan Fund has approved a disbursement of ₦128,068,300 to the Ebonyi State University of ICT, Science & Technology for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to an official update released on 4 May 2026, the intervention covers statutory charges for 183 students, aimed at easing financial pressure and ensuring uninterrupted academic activities across the institution.
The statement noted that the intervention forms part of ongoing efforts to support access to higher education and reduce the burden of tuition-related expenses on students and their families.
Authorities at the institution said the funding would significantly enhance stability within the academic calendar, allowing beneficiaries to continue their studies under improved financial conditions.
The disbursement was described as a boost to the federal education support framework, with stakeholders highlighting its alignment with the broader “Renewed Hope” agenda focused on expanding access to quality education in Nigeria.
Students and management of the institution were encouraged to ensure proper utilisation and monitoring of the funds in line with established guidelines.
