The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has officially released the 2026 June Ordinary Level (O-Level) and Advanced Level (A-Level) examination results, with candidates able to check their performance online from 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Announcing the release during a media briefing in Harare, ZIMSEC Board Chairperson, Professor Paul Mapfumo, said candidates and authorised personnel can access the results through the council’s online portal via the ZIMSEC website. He noted that the online portal will remain open for only five days.
According to the examination body, the June 2026 O-Level pass rate declined compared to the previous year. The pass rate for candidates who sat for five or more subjects dropped by 2.87 percentage points, from 5.87% in 2025 to 3% in 2026.
In contrast, the June 2026 A-Level examination recorded an improvement. The pass rate for candidates who obtained at least two subjects at Grade E or better rose by 11.88 percentage points, reaching 67.74%, compared to the 2025 examination.
Professor Mapfumo also announced that heads of examination centres would begin collecting printed copies of the results for their respective schools and centres from ZIMSEC regional offices starting Tuesday.
He urged candidates to access their results within the stipulated five-day window before the online portal closes.
The release of the results marks the conclusion of the June examination cycle for thousands of candidates across Zimbabwe, with schools now expected to commence admission and progression processes based on the newly released results.
