Position Title: Business Development Manager
Department: Growth and Sales
Location: Lekki, Lagos State
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Industry: Property Technology/ Real Estate

POSITION OVERVIEW
The business development manager at SSSL will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and expanding our client base across residential, commercial, or tech-enabled real estate segments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties)
1. Business Growth & Revenue Generation
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, clients, and partnerships to meet company revenue goals.
• Analyze market trends to develop entry strategies and identify untapped segments (e.g., co-living, smart buildings, real estate developers, facility management firms).

2. Strategic Partnerships
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the real estate ecosystem — developers, landlords, brokers, tech vendors, and enterprise clients.
• Collaborate with partners to co-develop solutions that integrate with the company’s technology offerings (e.g., digital listings, property management tools, rental platforms).

3. Product & Market Alignment
• Work closely with Product and Marketing teams to provide market feedback and insights that influence roadmap development and positioning strategies.
• Conduct competitor analysis and customer feedback sessions to improve value proposition and client experience.

4. Sales Reporting/ Record keeping
• Maintain accurate sales and CRM records, track KPIs, and prepare regular reports for leadership.
• Deliver monthly/quarterly sales targets and growth forecasts.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration
• Partner with the Marketing team on lead generation campaigns, events, and brand awareness strategies.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams to structure deals and ensure contractual compliance.
KSA’s (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
• Strong knowledge of B2B sales.
• Strong understanding of the real estate value chain, including leasing, property management, and tech adoption trends.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.

• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Academic Qualification (Minimum)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate Management, or a related field (MBA is an added advantage).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within Property Tech, real estate, or technology startups.

Salary range: 350k – 400k net
Job mode: Hybrid
