Our client is organizing and backing young people to solve problems in their communities because ‘it is well’ will not fix Nigeria, Solutions Will. We are like the GoFundMe for community development with a validations twist. We like to say we are producing the next generation of problem solvers for Nigeria.Our client has 2 broad deliverables: Bank the Solutions and Bank the Donors. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Partnership resource that can drive these deliverables.
About the Role
We seek an experienced, hands-on and results-oriented Partnership Manager to lead the
organization’s partnership development and stakeholder engagement efforts specifically closing institutional and individual donors. The successful candidate will identify, cultivate, manage, and strengthen strategic partnerships that support our mission, mobilize resources, expand program reach, and enhance organizational sustainability.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator and relationship builder with a strong
understanding of the nonprofit and development landscape. They possess excellent
negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management skills, are proactive in identifying
opportunities, and can effectively coordinate multiple partnerships simultaneously. The
candidate should be highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about creating
sustainable social impact. The Ideal candidate should have the ability to convert Individual and Institutional donors and can raise 2 Billion Naira in 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Expansion & Resource Acquisition
Discover and investigate high-level collaboration prospects involving global corporations, international donors, philanthropic groups, government bodies, and
other significant industrial players.
Construct and execute engagement plans that resonate with our core vision and established organizational objectives.
Craft persuasive alliance requests, conceptual frameworks, donation tiers, and professional decks.
Champion capital-raising efforts by obtaining both monetary and logistical support for initiatives and scaling operations.
Cultivate and oversee a robust funnel of potential collaborators and financial backers.
Engagement & Network Stewardship
Act as the primary liaison for key allies while nurturing enduring professional ties.
Facilitate routine touchpoints, collaboration assessments, and focused communications with all stakeholders.
Guarantee that contributors receive prompt briefings, impact documentation, and appropriate credit as per formal pacts.
Represent the firm during forums, industry summits, networking mixers, and high-level stakeholder dialogues.
Collaboration Oversight & Initiative Alignment
Finalize and manage formal pacts, Memoranda of Understanding, and operational alliance structures.
Liaise with internal execution departments to ensure all shared obligations are successfully fulfilled.
Monitor progress toward shared goals, key deadlines, and performance indicators. Direct inter-departmental efforts to boost collaborator utility and initiative outcomes.
Planning, Analysis & Brand Integration
Keep a current and detailed log of all external connections and historical data.
Generate regular efficiency summaries and visual progress trackers for leadership and external contributors.
Observe shifts in the social impact, corporate responsibility, and developmental arenas to spot emerging synergy areas.
Enhance the firm’s public profile through integrated messaging and co-branded promotional activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience
Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in partnerships, resource mobilization, or business development within the NGO/non-profit sector, international development, or social enterprise ecosystem in Nigeria.
Track Record: A documented history of securing grants, corporate sponsorships, or institutional funding partnerships.
Network: Contacts within corporate Nigeria (CSR heads), international development partners (e.g., USAID, FCDO, UNDP, etc.).
Strategic Models Familiarity: Deep understanding of crowdfunding, mobile money integration frameworks, and co-investment models. Experience managing public sector collaborations is a massive plus.
