Job Description
To supervise and coordinate the work of farm attendants and ensure farm activities are carried out efficiently in compliance with established standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of poultry production, including feeding, drinkers and health management
- Conduct regular inspections of poultry housing facilities to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance.
- Ensure proper housing conditions and manage the environment to optimize growth and productivity.
- Track and analyze production metrics such as feed conversion ratios and egg production performance.
- Implement and enforce biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of diseases.
- Monitor and analyse poultry health, including early detection and treatment of illnesses.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations relating to poultry production and animal welfare.
Requirements
- HND or bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field.
- Proven experience in farm management and coordination.
- 3–5 years of proven work experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Knowledge of modern farming practices, crop cultivation, and animal husbandry.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in data entry.
