*Procurement Officer/Manager (Construction Supplies & Contracts)* for a Real Estate Development Company

We are looking for a Procurement Officer to spearhead our sourcing and purchasing activities. He will ensure that all building materials, equipment, and subcontracted.
*Job Responsibilities*
• Develop and maintain a robust vendor network for key construction materials (cement, steel, blocks, finishes, fixtures, etc.) and services (e.g., plumbing and electrical subcontractors, equipment rentals).
• Establish relationships with reliable suppliers and contractors.
• Solicit and compare quotes from multiple vendors, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings while meeting quality standards.
• Issue Purchase Orders and contract agreements in line with company policies. Ensure all procurement paperwork is complete and accurate, and track orders from initiation to delivery.
• Coordinate logistics for procurement – e.g., importation process for any imported items (handling shipping, customs where necessary) or interstate transport for materials from outside the city.
*Requirements:*
✨ Bachelor’s/HND in Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, or related field. (Relevant experience can supersede field of study.)
✨ 4+ years experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the construction/real estate sector.
✨ Strong knowledge of construction materials, their sources, and typical pricing. Familiar with reputable suppliers and contractors in the Nigerian market.
✨ Demonstrated negotiation skills and a track record of saving costs through smart purchasing.

✨ Membership of professional bodies like CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is a plus.
