Job Summary
The Station Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the fueling station, ensuring efficient service delivery, safety compliance, stock control, revenue management, and effective supervision of station staff. The role requires strong operational, leadership, and financial control skills to ensure profitability and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Station Operations & Service Delivery
• Oversee daily operations of the fueling station to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe service delivery.
• Ensure fuel dispensing activities meet operational and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and proper functioning of station facilities and equipment.
Sales, Revenue & Inventory Management
• Monitor daily fuel sales, cash collections, and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate meter readings, stock levels, and daily sales reports.
• Coordinate fuel receipt, storage, and inventory control to prevent losses and shortages.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and improve station profitability.
Staff Supervision & Management
• Supervise pump attendants, cashiers, and other station staff.
• Prepare staff duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing at all times.
• Train staff on customer service, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Enforce discipline and handle minor staff issues in line with company guidelines.
Health, Safety & Compliance
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Enforce safety procedures during fuel delivery, dispensing, and storage.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Promptly report incidents, safety hazards, or equipment faults.
Customer Service & Relationship Management
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and handle customer complaints professionally.
• Build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory officials.
Reporting & Administration
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, expenses, and staff attendance.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Minimum of OND / HND / BSc in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in fueling station operations, retail management, or a similar role in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Strong understanding of fuel station operations, stock control, and cash management.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to prepare operational reports.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in the downstream oil and gas sector.
