Description:
- The Ground Support Equipment Techinician will perform all the maintenance tasks on the Ground Support equipment in accordance with OEM approved documentation and in compliance with Air Peace and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Install, maintain, trouble shoot and repair aircraft ground support and industrial equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls.
- Read, interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and the electrical code specifications.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance programs.
- May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
- Conducts general electrical maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge in welding is a plus.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Minimum).
- At least 3 years Ground Support Equipment maintenance experience.
- Ability to read and interpretate technical manuals to perform duties.
- Good Communication Skills.
- Knowledge of Aviation Legislation/Regulations.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Human factors application.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Achieve 95% of the Ground Support Equipment availability
- Quality of Component and Equipment Maintenance (MTBF)
- Number of incidents / accidents
- Proper use of materials and consumables required for the Ground Support
- Equipment maintenance.
