Performance & People Manager (HR)
Company: Seinde Signature Limited
Reports To: Managing Director / GM Operations
Location: Lagos (HQ-based with multi-branch oversight)
Role Purpose
The Performance & People Manager (HR) is responsible for building and sustaining a high-performance culture across Seinde Signature by aligning people, processes, and incentives with business outcomes. This role goes beyond traditional HR administration and focuses on performance management, accountability, capability development, and cultural excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Management & Accountability
•Design and manage a company-wide performance management framework including KPIs, scorecards, and appraisals.
•Ensure all roles have clearly defined KPIs and measurable outcomes.
•Lead quarterly and annual performance reviews across departments.
•Manage underperformance through structured Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
•Partner with leadership to translate business goals into people performance targets.
Workforce Planning & Organisational Effectiveness
•Support organisational design, role clarity, and reporting structures.
•Ensure workforce planning aligns with store expansion and growth strategy.
•Conduct role audits to identify inefficiencies and overlaps.
•Support succession planning for critical roles.
Talent Development & Capability Building
•Identify skills gaps and coordinate targeted training programmes.
•Oversee onboarding and probation evaluation processes.
•Support leadership development and internal talent progression.
•Embed luxury service and operational excellence standards through training.
Culture, Engagement & Discipline
•Embed company values into daily operations and performance expectations.
•Drive staff engagement while maintaining discipline and accountability.
•Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
•Ensure consistent application of policies across all locations.
Compensation, Incentives & Rewards
•Support the design of performance-linked incentives and bonus structures.
•Ensure internal equity and alignment with business performance.
•Monitor people cost efficiency and productivity ratios.
HR Operations & Compliance
•Oversee HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook.
•Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws.
•Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
•Support audits, governance reviews, and investor due diligence.
Management Reporting
•Produce people and performance reports, including headcount, attrition, and productivity.
•Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
•Percentage of roles with clearly defined KPIs (Target: 100%)
•Performance review completion rate (Target: ≥95%)
•Reduction in underperformance cases
•Employee productivity per head
•Staff turnover within approved thresholds
•Time-to-productivity for new hires
•Training effectiveness metrics
•HR compliance and audit readiness score
Qualifications & Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
•Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is an advantage
•5–8 years of HR experience with strong performance management exposure
Experience in retail, luxury, FMCG, or multi-branch environments preferred
•Strong understanding of Nigerian labour laws

Pay is between #600-800k
