Job Title: Chief Security Officer (CSO) – Technology, Risk & Operational Efficiency
Sector: Heavy-duty equipment rentals.
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Reports To : CEO
Mode of work: Onsite, full time
Remuneration :#400k Monthly
Job Summary
HRLeverage Africa, the workforce management company is seeking a visionary Chief Security Officer (CSO) for its client who is a player in the Heavy-duty equipment rentals industry. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise-wide security transformation, merging cybersecurity, physical security, and operational resilience into one intelligent, tech-driven ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will design a future-ready security architecture powered by automation, AI, and risk analytics, ensuring the organization stays secure, agile, and compliant, while driving measurable operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
•Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a proactive enterprise security roadmap aligned with corporate growth goals.
•Cyber & InfoSec: Oversee network, cloud, and data protection, leveraging automation, zero-trust, and AI-based threat intelligence.
•Physical & Operational Security: Integrate IoT, GPS, and smart surveillance technologies to safeguard assets and ensure business continuity.
•Risk & Compliance: Lead governance across ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, GDPR, and other global standards.
•Incident Response: Build resilient frameworks for prevention, rapid response, and post-incident recovery.
•Performance Optimization: Continuously enhance efficiency through automation, metrics, and ROI-driven improvements.
Requirements
•Education: Bachelor’s in InfoSec, Engineering, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred)
•Experience: 5–10+ years in senior security or risk leadership with proven success in cybersecurity transformation
•Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, PSP
•Strengths: Data-driven decision-making, strategic foresight, and balance between innovation and compliance
