The Sokoto State Government has announced an arrangement to conduct another verification exercise for its indigenous students at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS).
According to the previous report made by The News Digest Press, the verification exercise was scheduled for March 15th and 16th, 2025, at Sultan Abubakar College of Education, Sokoto, for the payment of their school fees.
However, in a fresh statement released on 13th of April, 2025, the Sokoto State Government set to conduct a re-verification process due to their students’ failure to regenerate their Remita Invoice during the previous verification exercise, as stated by the Special Adviser To The Sokoto State Governor On Students Matter.
The statement read in part, “I am writing to inform you formally that there will be a re-verification process for the payment of school fees for the 2024/2025 session. This decision has been made due to the fact that many students did not generate their Remita during the last verification. Furthermore, the school management has submitted the list of Sokoto State Students who generated Remita for the 2024/2025 academic session, which necessitates this additional verification.”
In addition, the statement stressed that students are required to attend the verification to ensure their payment processes are completed without any issue or delay, advising that they should come prepared with the necessary documents related to their school fees.
Meanwhile, details of the verification, such as venue, date, and time, have not been communicated yet, which the circular stated it will be released anytime soon.
