This new mobile platform is a transformative tool designed to empower students and educators across Africa. With features such as educational news, real-time scholarship updates, career development insights, and access to learning resources, the app serves as a digital companion built specifically with the African student experience in mind.
It bridges the gap between information and opportunity, equipping young minds with tools to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Throughout the event, Folaranmi shared the story behind the app’s creation and its potential to become an indispensable asset for students navigating their academic and professional journeys.
The platform’s intuitive design and tailored content sparked interest among students eager to explore ethical, relevant, and accessible information resources.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr Excellence of Covenant University for her gracious hospitality and for leading stimulating discussions on the ethical use of artificial intelligence in academic spaces. Her reflections on the evolving role of tools like ChatGPT provided students with critical perspectives on responsible innovation and digital literacy.
A particularly engaging moment came during our interaction with students when a participant from the Department of International Relations posed a thoughtful question on the academic use of AI-generated content. This opened up a vibrant group dialogue about digital responsibility, echoing Dr Excellence’s earlier session.
The exchange underscored students’ eagerness for guidance on emerging technologies and affirmed EduTimes Africa’s role in nurturing ethical digital citizens.
