The Nigerian Education Loan Fund has disbursed a total of ₦281,385,600 to support 1,393 students of Dennis Osadebay University for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The disbursement, made on April 7, 2026, followed successful applications submitted by the beneficiaries under the federal government’s student loan scheme.
According to details of the announcement, the fund covers tuition and other statutory charges, providing critical financial relief to students and ensuring the continuity of their academic programmes without disruption.
The intervention is part of ongoing efforts by NELFUND to expand access to higher education and reduce the financial burden on students across the country.
University authorities and stakeholders have described the development as timely, noting that the support will enable over one thousand students to remain in school and focus on their studies.
The disbursement also aligns with the Federal Government’s broader education support initiatives aimed at promoting inclusivity and improving learning outcomes in tertiary institutions.
Beneficiaries are expected to utilise the funds strictly for approved academic expenses as outlined in the scheme guidelines.
