NELFUND Disburses ₦29.78 Million to 273 Students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the disbursement of ₦29,782,500 to Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State, in support of students for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The latest intervention covers 273 bonafide students, described as the seventh batch of beneficiaries under the scheme at the institution. The payment was made on 23 March 2026.
According to the announcement, the funds are intended to cover tuition and statutory charges, ensuring that students are able to continue their academic programmes without financial disruptions.
NELFUND noted that the disbursement aligns with its broader mandate of expanding access to higher education and easing the financial burden on students across Nigeria’s tertiary institutions under the Renewed Hope agenda.
The development is expected to further strengthen academic continuity for beneficiaries at UNIZIK as the loan scheme continues its rollout nationwide.
