7 Things Candidates Should Check Before UTME, DE Registration

Candidates can now upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes as the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) introduces a new system that allows candidates’ results to be verified directly with the examination bodies that issued them.

The initiative begins with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and is designed to make the O’Level upload process easier, faster, safer and more convenient.

Under the new arrangement, candidates no longer have to rely solely on manual result uploads at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres. Instead, JAMB can verify the results directly against the records of the relevant examination bodies before the verified results are uploaded to candidates’ profiles.

The system is also expected to reduce problems associated with manual uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, unverified or fraudulent results, and errors in entering subjects and grades.
Here is how candidates can verify and upload their O’Level results from home:

Click “Apply the O’Level Results.”

15. Confirm successful submission
Once the upload is successful, you will receive a notification confirming the submission.

The new verification system means candidates can complete the process without necessarily visiting a CBT centre, particularly during periods when such centres experience high patronage or network challenges.

JAMB said the initiative is part of its renewed commitment to using technology to improve candidate experience by reducing unnecessary visits to CBT centres, queues and manual processes.

The Board also said the integration of its e-Facility platform with examination bodies will allow results to be checked directly against official examination records before being downloaded into candidates’ profiles.

The initiative reflects the commitment of JAMB’s sixth Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, to a more customer-oriented and technology-driven service delivery system.

JAMB said it would continue to deploy technology and collaborate with relevant examination and government agencies to make its services simpler, safer and more accessible to candidates.
