Abraham Deng, a passionate advocate for digital skills and education, is committed to addressing the pressing challenges of unemployment in Sub-Saharan Africa. His journey began at the African Leadership University (ALU), where he earned his degree in Computer Science. As a proud Mastercard Foundation alumnus and current ACN alumni ambassador, he has dedicated himself to helping others realize their potential, especially in times of crisis.
In 2024, he was honored to receive the ALU Graduation Leadership Award, recognizing his commitment to service, leadership, and effective crisis management. This recognition fuels his drive to create meaningful change.
As the CEO and Founder of Silicon High School, he has the privilege of leading a groundbreaking educational initiative to reshape young refugees’ learning landscape. His school uniquely blends Uganda’s secondary school curriculum with dynamic Full-Stack Web Development and Entrepreneurship programs.
Nestled in a refugee settlement, Silicon High School is more than just an educational institution; it’s a beacon of hope and opportunity. He strives to provide underprivileged youth with high-quality STEM education, helping them cultivate their skills, broaden their horizons, and seize new opportunities in the digital world.
He believes that education should be accessible to all, regardless of their circumstances. My vision centres on strategic leadership and collaboration, underpinned by effective communication and innovative problem-solving. He is driven by a deep-seated passion for transforming the education sector and harnessing technology’s incredible potential. He truly believes that young refugees can survive and thrive in an ever-evolving technological landscape with the right tools and knowledge.
