Scholarship Overview:
The UTS is a merit-based scholarship for highly talented students applying for a postgraduate (MSc) programme at the University of Twente. It is open to both EU/EEA and non-EU/EEA applicants.
Selected students will:
Receive up to €22,000 to cover study-related costs.
Be eligible for an extra grant in the second year (for two-year programs).
Get exclusive access to one of the university’s honours programmes: Research Honours, Design Honours, or Change Leaders.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
1. Apply and gain (conditional) admission into a Master’s program at the University of Twente.
2. Obtain a student number.
3. Not have graduated from a UT undergraduate programme.
4. Meet visa requirements (if applicable).
5. Provide proof of English proficiency (IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 90 with speaking sub-score of 6.0/TOEFL 20).
6. Not be eligible for a Dutch study loan.
7. Be among the top 5–10% of their class academically.
Scholarship Duration & Renewal:
Valid for one year.
For two-year programs, renewal for the second year is possible based on academic performance:
Minimum average grade of 7/10 at end of third quartile in Year 1.
At least 50% of European Credits (ECs) earned.
