The University of Benin (UNIBEN), Edo State, has received ₦145,975,250 from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The disbursement, made on July 7, 2026, covers 100 per cent of the statutory charges for 1,454 verified student beneficiaries of the institution.
The funding is expected to ease the financial burden on the beneficiaries and enable them to continue their studies without disruption, as NELFUND strengthens access to higher education financing under the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope agenda.
