The National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has successfully disbursed student loans to over 100,000 students across Nigeria.
A total of 105,844 students are now benefiting from the program, which spans 98 institutions across all six geopolitical zones of the country.
This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on students and empower them to pursue their educational aspirations.
Since the launch of the program, ₦11,047,793,949.80 has been disbursed to support students in various institutions, helping them cover tuition fees, accommodation, and other academic expenses. The loan fund is part of the Nigerian government’s commitment to improving access to quality education and ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder academic progress for deserving students.
The disbursement marks a significant step towards achieving equitable access to higher education in Nigeria.
