The Nigerian Education Loan Fund has disbursed ₦4,124,664 to 107 students of Yobe State College of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology under its student loan scheme for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the Fund, the disbursement covers 100 per cent of the statutory charges for all verified applicants from the institution, ensuring that eligible students can continue their education without financial disruption.
The payment, which was made on May 10, 2026, forms part of NELFUND’s ongoing efforts to expand access to higher education by easing the financial burden on students across tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
NELFUND said the intervention aligns with the Federal Government’s commitment to improving access to quality education under the Renewed Hope Agenda, enabling more students to pursue their academic goals regardless of their financial circumstances.
The Fund has continued to disburse tuition support and upkeep loans to eligible students nationwide as it scales up implementation of the national student loan programme.
