The Lagos State Scholarship Board (LSSB) has officially announced the commencement of applications for the 2025/2026 Academic Session Bursary and Scholarship Awards.
The application portal opens:

Closing Date: Friday, 27th February 2026 (12:00 Midnight)
This opportunity is open to indigenous students of Lagos State currently enrolled in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

About the Lagos State Scholarship Board
The Lagos State Scholarship Board was established in February 1968 shortly after the creation of Lagos State. It is responsible for handling bursaries, scholarships, and other education-related matters within the state.
Eligibility Requirements
General Requirements (Bursary & Scholarship)
Applicants must:
Have gained full-time admission into a recognized tertiary institution
Be a bonafide indigene of Lagos State (by paternity)
Additional Requirement (Scholarship Award Only)
Undergraduate students: Minimum CGPA of 3.5
Postgraduate students: Minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1)

Technical Colleges – ₦100,000
Polytechnics/Colleges of Education – ₦200,000
First Degree – ₦200,000
Masters Degree – ₦300,000
Doctorate Degree – ₦400,000

For Lagos State University (LASU) Students
Freshers – ₦35,000
Arts Students – ₦25,000
Science Students – ₦30,000
Physically Challenged Students – ₦40,000
Law/Engineering/Medical Students – ₦50,000
For Students in Other Institutions
Arts Students – ₦20,000
Science Students – ₦30,000
Physically Challenged Students – ₦40,000
Law/Engineering/Medical Students – ₦50,000
Law School & Maritime Academy Students – ₦200,000
