Key Responsibilities
Job Description:

– The Account manager will be entrusted with core financial stewardship and strategic advisory responsibilities. This role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting functions, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring strict compliance with reporting standards, and managing the month-end and year-end close processes with precision.
– You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, overseeing accounts payable/receivable, performing complex reconciliations, and managing tax filings and audits.
– Monitor robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy, while also providing detailed variance analysis and insightful financial reports to support management decision-making.
– You will also be conducting in-depth financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting to guide organizational strategy.
* Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, approvals, and timely payments
• Process transactions and maintain records using ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics)
• Prepare payment schedules and ensure adherence to agreed timelines
• Liaise with vendors, banks, and internal stakeholders to resolve payment-related issues
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus) and professional certifications such as CA or ACCA are highly preferred.
– Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, preferably within the financial services sector.
– Proven track record of managing budgets, financial reporting, and audits.
– Proficient in financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle-Financials) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other financial modeling tools.
• Oil industry experience is an added advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
