Education reform advocate and STEMM expert, Adetola Salau, has been appointed as the Special Adviser on STEMM Education and Corporate Sector Engagement to the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa.
Salau made the announcement on her official Facebook page, expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to Nigeria’s national education agenda. She emphasised her commitment to advancing innovation in the sector through strategic partnerships and corporate engagement.
“I am deeply honoured to have been appointed as Special Adviser on STEMM Education and Corporate Sector Engagement to Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Honourable Minister of Education, Nigeria,” she wrote. “I extend my gratitude to the Honourable Minister for this incredible opportunity to contribute to our national education agenda and deepen innovation through strategic partnerships.”
In her message, she also acknowledged two of her former principals—Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State—for their roles in shaping her journey in public service.

Salau, a long-time advocate for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine (STEMM) education, reaffirmed her dedication to building a future where Nigerian youth thrive through access to quality education, innovation, and opportunity.
The appointment is seen as a strategic move to further position Nigeria’s education sector for global competitiveness through enhanced STEMM capacity and private sector collaboration.
