The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with CAPES and CNPq, is inviting applications for the Postgraduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG). This fully funded scheme supports talented international students to pursue Master’s and PhD programs at Brazilian universities.
Eligibility:
Must be nationals of one of the 74 eligible partner countries.
Apply for a full Master’s, full PhD, or sandwich PhD at an accredited Brazilian Higher Education Institution (HEI).
Submit all required academic documents and commit to program conditions.
Benefits:
Full tuition coverage.
Monthly stipend.
Health insurance.
International travel costs (covered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
Duration:
Sandwich PhD: 6–10 months
Full PhD: up to 48 months
Full Master’s: up to 24 months
How to Apply:
Register via the Official Application Portal between August 14 – September 29, 2025.
Brazilian HEIs will review applications from September 30 to October 23, 2025.
Final results will be published on November 14, 2025, with studies beginning in early 2026.
