Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, has formally acknowledged the receipt of institutional fee disbursements from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), describing the intervention as a major boost to student welfare and institutional stability. The acknowledgement was contained in a letter dated November 24, 2025, and signed by the Acting Rector, Dr. Nosakhare L. Arodoye.
In the letter addressed to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NELFUND, the polytechnic expressed gratitude for the successful release of funds under the federal government’s education loan scheme. The institution commended NELFUND for its commitment to supporting Nigerian students through accessible and sustainable education financing.
According to details provided, the disbursement was received on November 6, 2025, and covered a total of 187 students of the institution. The total amount released to Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, stood at ₦44.57 million, representing institutional fees paid on behalf of the benefiting students.
The management noted that the intervention has significantly reduced the financial burden on students and their families, while also strengthening the institution’s funding base. It described the scheme as a laudable initiative that is already yielding positive outcomes in improving access to tertiary education.
The polytechnic further assured NELFUND of its continued cooperation and support towards the smooth implementation of the programme. Dr. Arodoye reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to transparency and collaboration, expressing optimism that the partnership would contribute to improved educational outcomes nationwide.
