The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has released its official Post-UTME cutoff marks for the 2025/2026 academic session, bringing clarity to thousands of admission seekers eager to know the minimum scores required across departments.
According to the institution’s management, candidates must meet or exceed the departmental cutoffs to be considered for admission. The marks vary across faculties, reflecting competition and demand in each field.
Top Competitive Courses
Medicine and Surgery emerged the most competitive programme with a cutoff of 84.65, followed by Nursing (78.55), Pharmacy (78.0), Law (77.75), Biochemistry (77.75), and Medical Laboratory Science (75.7). Cyber Security also stood out with 69.2, confirming growing demand for digital security expertise.
Faculty Highlights
Agriculture: Cutoffs ranged from 52.4 in Soil Science and Land Resources Management to 60.95 in Food Science and Technology.
Arts: English and Literary Studies (66.35), History and International Studies (67.9), and Theatre and Media Arts (64.4) topped the list.
Basic Medical Sciences: Anatomy (66.15), Radiography (74.05), and Physiology (65.8) attracted high scores.
Communication & Media Studies: Mass Communication led with 68.5, higher than Journalism (63.7) and Public Relations (61.9).
Computing: Cyber Security (69.2), Data Science (62.25), and Software Engineering (60.5) showed strong interest.
Education: Scores ranged from 50.3 in Economics Education to 62 in Adult Education.
Engineering: Electrical/Electronics (66.25) and Mechatronics (66.4) recorded the highest in the faculty.
Environmental Design: Architecture was most competitive at 69.85.
Life Sciences: Microbiology (64.4) and Plant Science and Biotechnology (60.75) remained attractive.
Management Sciences: Finance topped with 71.25, ahead of Accounting (63.95).
Social Sciences: Political Science (63.95) drew the most interest, above Criminology (56.55) and Sociology (54.8).
FUOYE advised candidates to review the cutoffs carefully when making admission decisions, stressing that only those who meet the required scores will be shortlisted.
The release once again highlights Medicine, Nursing, Law, Pharmacy, and Cyber Security as the university’s most sought-after programmes for 2025.
