The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), in its 2025 Policy Meeting held with key stakeholders in the education sector, has officially announced the minimum cut-off marks required for admission into various tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
Here are the approved benchmarks:
🎓 Universities:
➡️ Minimum Cut-Off Mark: 150
Candidates seeking admission into any federal, state, or private university must have scored at least 150 in the 2025 UTME to be eligible for admission consideration.
🏫 Colleges of Nursing:
➡️ Minimum Cut-Off Mark: 140
Aspiring nursing students must have scored a minimum of 140 in the UTME to apply to accredited nursing colleges across the country.
🌾 Colleges of Agriculture:
➡️ Minimum Cut-Off Mark: 100
These institutions have set their entry requirement at 100, in line with JAMB’s flexibility for specialized colleges.
🏛️ Polytechnics:
➡️ Minimum Cut-Off Mark: 100
All applicants targeting National Diploma (ND) programs in polytechnics must have a UTME score of 100 and above.
📚 Colleges of Education:
➡️ Minimum Cut-Off Mark: 100
To qualify for NCE programs in any College of Education, candidates must attain a minimum score of 100.
