The Convener of the Let There Be Teachers (LTBT) Conference, Oluwaseyi Anifowose, on March 18, 2026, met with Mr. Ojikutu Rafiu Olawale, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), to discuss the vision and direction for the 2026 conference and the broader Let There Be Teachers Movement.
The meeting built on the strong collaboration established during the 2025 edition of the conference, where TESCOM Lagos played a pivotal role in mobilizing public school teachers across the state. Both parties reflected on the success of that partnership and explored new opportunities to deepen engagement and expand the reach of the initiative.
Discussions centered on strengthening support for teachers within the public education system, enhancing professional development opportunities, and driving initiatives that elevate the teaching profession across Lagos State and beyond.
There was a shared commitment to fostering a more impactful collaboration as preparations for the 2026 conference gather momentum. Stakeholders expressed optimism that the strengthened partnership will empower more teachers, improve educational outcomes, and contribute to meaningful reforms within the education sector.
The Let There Be Teachers Conference 2026 is expected to build on previous successes while further amplifying its mission to support and celebrate educators nationwide.
