The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General OO Nafiu, has congratulated the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream I Corps Members on the successful completion of their one-year national service.
In a goodwill message issued to mark the passing-out ceremony, the DG commended the corps members for their resilience, patriotism, discipline, and unwavering dedication throughout their service year.
He noted that their contributions had made a meaningful impact in various communities across the country, reinforcing the core objectives of the Scheme.
“This occasion offers a unique opportunity to commend your resilience, patriotism, discipline, and dedication throughout the service year. We celebrate your immense contributions, which have made a meaningful impact across the country,” Nafiu stated.
As the corps members transition into a new phase of life, the NYSC boss urged them to uphold the values instilled during the service year and remain committed to personal development and national growth.
He further encouraged them to see themselves as critical stakeholders in Nigeria’s development, stressing the need for continued dedication to nation-building efforts.
“I urge you to uphold the values you have acquired during the service, and remain committed to personal development and nation-building,” he added.
The Director-General also expressed confidence in the corps members’ potential to excel in their future endeavours, assuring them that they would always remain part of the NYSC family.
The passing-out ceremony marks the formal completion of the mandatory national service programme for Nigerian graduates, a scheme designed to promote national unity and development.
“ Nigeria is ours; Nigeria we serve,” the statement concluded.
