The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has approved lecture-free hours to enable students participate in the Students’ Union Government (SUG) Orientation and Induction Programme.
In an internal memorandum issued by the institution’s Registrar and dated February 16, 2026, the polytechnic announced that the orientation programme will hold on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
According to the notice, lectures on the day will run only between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., after which students are expected to proceed to the SUG Orientation Programme scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The management stated that attendance at the orientation is compulsory for all concerned students, particularly Full-Time ND I and HND I students.
The memo, signed on behalf of the Registrar, was copied to the Rector, Deputy Rector, SUG executives, and faculty and departmental heads for necessary action.
The institution urged students to take note of the adjustment and comply accordingly.
