The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has released a new list of students eligible to apply for refunds under the 2024/2025 Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) scheme.
According to the UNILORIN Students’ Union (SU), the refund applies to students who paid school fees before Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) disbursed funds directly to the university.
Students are advised to check the official eligibility list, which contains verified details including full names, matriculation numbers, departments, and eligibility status, and submit refund requests through the proper channels.
Eligible students must complete the official refund form and provide supporting documents, such as school fee receipts and bank account details, to the Student Affairs Unit (SAU) or their respective Dean’s Office. Refunds are processed gradually, depending on NELFUND’s disbursement schedule.
For students whose names do not appear on the current list, UNILORIN and the Students’ Union advise checking the NELFUND portal to ensure all records are verified. The university also clarified that this is not the final list, as additional batches of eligible students may be added as verification continues.
Students are urged to act promptly, as following the prescribed procedures will ensure timely refund of fees paid in advance.
