The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure FUTA Professor Adenike Oladiji has commended staff of the Registry for their immense contribution to the achievements of the university through commitment and dedication to duty.
She gave the commendation during the 2025 Registry Staff Get Together organized to reward the hard work of staff and honor recent retirees at the Afen Adebayo Multipurpose Hall on Wednesday December 17,2025.
The Vice Chancellor described the Registry as the main hub of the university and that sustained efforts from individual staff have enabled the university to live up to its mandates of efficient service delivery and intellectual inquiry.
Addressing the retirees she said “Thank you for giving your best to the university. You have left a legacy of excellence that cannot be forgotten. Your indelible footprints are evident in all facets of the university and we believe that all your labor will not go unrewarded”.
She encouraged staff not to relent in their service to the university urging them to keep the flag of excellence flying.
On his part the Registrar Mr. Charles Adeleye said ” This gathering is more than a celebration; it is a symbol of communalism and unity. It reminds us that success is not achieved in isolation, but through teamwork, mutual support, and shared purpose. What we have accomplished together stands as proof that when we work as one, we can achieve great things”
Commending the retirees he said “Today, we also celebrate our retirees—to honor their years of dedicated service and to commend them for their hard work, commitment, and invaluable contributions. Their efforts have helped shape this institution and have laid a strong foundation for those who continue the work today”.
High point of the occasion was the presentation of gifts to retirees of the registry.
