Ministry of Primary & Secondary Education, Zimbabwe Permanent Secretary, Mr. Moses Mhike, toured Mtshina Primary and Secondary Schools in Tsholotsho last week, two schools wholly constructed by Plan International Zimbabwe within the San community.
Mtshina Primary now has an enrolment of 423 learners and features a fully furnished computer laboratory, while Mtshina Secondary has 150 learners enrolled. Both schools were designed to provide quality learning environments in a previously marginalised area.
Plan International is also constructing a science laboratory and a Sustainable and Affordable Boarding Facility at the secondary school, which will house 50 girls, further supporting access to safe, inclusive, and empowering educational spaces.
Mr. Mhike highlighted that the Ministry continues to cherish its partnership with Plan International Zimbabwe, which has played a key role in enhancing education opportunities in marginalised communities.
His tour underscored the commitment to ensuring all learners, especially those from underserved areas, benefit from improved infrastructure and learning resources.
