1. Princeton in Africa Fellowship 2027–2028

The Princeton in Africa Fellowship is accepting applications for its 2027–2028 fellowship programme, offering young professionals and eligible graduating students the opportunity to undertake a 12-month professional fellowship with organisations across Africa.

The fellowship provides participants with valuable professional experience while allowing them to contribute their skills to organisations working on issues affecting communities across the continent.

For the 2027–2028 cycle, Princeton in Africa is also expanding its programme with an Innovation Fellowship track focused on organisations and initiatives shaping Africa’s growing innovation economy.

Who can apply?

Applicants must:

– Be young professionals or current undergraduates graduating by June 2027.
– Hold, or be pursuing, a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD from a four-year US-accredited university or a locally accredited university in Africa.
– Demonstrate full professional proficiency in English.
– Be no older than 35 during the fellowship year.
– Hold a passport valid for at least six months after the end of the fellowship year.
– Not be enrolled in a graduate, doctoral or equivalent advanced academic programme during the fellowship year.

The Nexus Programme particularly expands access for young African professionals who are citizens of African countries, live on the continent and are graduates or graduating students of African universities.

Duration: 12 months
Location: Various African countries, depending on placement
Application deadline: October 26, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time
Application fee: None

2. Creative Changemakers Fellowship 2026 — Nigeria

Application deadline: September 15, 2026

Nigerian creatives using storytelling, media and art to promote civic engagement, democratic participation, accountability and social change can apply for the Creative Changemakers Fellowship (CCMF) 2026, organised by CivicHive.

The programme is designed to support 15 emerging creatives who are passionate about using creative work to address social issues and strengthen civic participation in Nigeria.

According to CivicHive, the fellowship combines virtual learning, in-person creative labs, mentorship and hands-on production, giving participants an opportunity to develop evidence-based creative work addressing real-world issues.

Who can apply?

The fellowship is particularly relevant to Nigerian:

– Content creators
– Journalists and storytellers
– Filmmakers
– Artists
– Digital creators
– Media professionals
– Other creatives interested in civic engagement and social change

The programme seeks applicants passionate about civic engagement, accountability, transparency and making governance work for citizens.
