Many teachers have what it takes to become a consultant, they just do not know it yet. If you see these 7 signs in yourself, it is time to move from classroom to consultancy.
1. Teachers always come to you for advice.
If colleagues always ask you how to handle pupils, how to teach better, or how to manage their class, that is consulting already. People pay for what you give for free.
2. You are tired of exchanging time for salary.
You love teaching but you know your income should not stop when school vacates. You want to earn from your knowledge, not just your presence in class.
3. You have solved a problem repeatedly.
You have helped a school increase enrollment, improved pupils performance, or built a tutorial that works. If you have a result you can repeat, you have a product.
4. You enjoy training, not just teaching.
You feel more fulfilled when you are training teachers and school owners than when you are teaching pupils. That shift in joy is a sign of your next level.
5. You are already creating content.
You write lesson ideas, you make short videos, you share tips on WhatsApp status. That is how consultants build authority. You have started without knowing.
6. School owners call you, not the other way.
If a school owner has ever said, come and help us check our school or train our teachers, the market is already looking for you.
7. You want impact beyond one classroom.
You do not just want to raise 30 pupils. You want to raise 30 schools. Your heart for bigger impact is the clearest sign.
If you ticked at least 4 of these, stop waiting for permission.
Start documenting what you know. Start packaging it. Start teaching teachers.
The world does not need another struggling teacher. It needs you as a consultant.
