Serah Yusuf is a kogi born, an outstanding Nigerian educator, community development advocate, and innovative learning strategist transforming classrooms and underserved communities across the FCT. She holds a B.A. in English and Literary Studies and an NCE in English/Theatre Arts, grounding her work in strong academic and pedagogical expertise.
Her journey reflects resilience. After emerging as a Top 10 Finalist in the IDEE Teachers’ Prize 2022, she returned three years later as the North Central Champion and was ultimately declared Overall Winner of the IDEE Teachers’ Prize of the Year 2025 at WICE, Ogun Waterside.
Serah teaches English at Wisdom International School of Excellence (WISE), Lugbe Abuja, where she integrates digital innovation and learner-centered approaches. She returned from La-Vogue British International School a few months earlier, bringing with her high-level instructional experience. Her students won the PLAN INTERNATIONAL Girls in ICT Debate and Quiz Competition and completed a six-month digital skills training, raising the school’s higher-education transition rate from 30% to 80%.
She founded VOISIN – Voice from the Slum Initiative, empowering girls in disadvantaged communities through mentorship, literacy, and life skills.
As an edupreneur, she established Sarah Small-Scale Fish Farming Enterprise in 2024, promoting agribusiness literacy and sustainable livelihoods, training over 200 teachers and students. She also became Champion of the Phenomenon Edupreneur Challenge (2025), highlighting her innovation and entrepreneurial leadership.
Her recognitions include Best Innovative Educator (2023), Best Content Creator (2024), Best Classroom Manager (2025), and Winner of the 11th Maltina Teacher of the Year Award (2025), receiving ₦10,000,000, international training, and a ₦30 million school project.
