Nnamdi Azikiwe University has acknowledged the receipt of N19,797,500 from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund for the disbursement of tuition loans to 175 students under the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a letter dated June 1, 2026, and signed by the University’s Bursar, Gozie C.M. Egwuatu, the institution confirmed that the funds were received through its Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) account on **June 18, 2026**.
The university stated that the payment represents the 12th batch disbursement under the NELFUND student loan scheme and covers the tuition fees of 175 successful beneficiaries studying at the institution.
The management expressed appreciation to the NELFUND management team for the intervention, describing the initiative as a significant support for students pursuing higher education.
According to the letter, the university assured the agency that the funds would be disbursed to the beneficiaries accordingly and expressed optimism about receiving the **13th batch disbursement** for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The acknowledgement was addressed to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NELFUND at its Abuja headquarters.
