Applicants must:
Be a resident national of one of the following African countries:
Angola, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe
Have 2–3 years of relevant work experience (varies by country).
Hold a bachelor’s degree (minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent second-class upper division).
Have graduated in 2013 or later.
Not already possess a master’s degree or be currently pursuing one.
Show leadership potential and a clear commitment to SDGs and to fostering positive relations with Ireland.

Applicants who pass Stage 2 must take the Duolingo English Test. Finalists will also take the IELTS exam unless they already hold a valid IELTS certificate (from 2022 or later).
