Applications are now open for the prestigious 2025/2026 MTN Foundation/MUSON Music Scholarship Programme. This opportunity, a partnership between the MTN Foundation (MTNF) and the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON), invites passionate young Nigerians with talent in music to apply for its full-time, two-year Diploma Course in Music.
This is the 20th edition of the scholarship and offers advanced music training to students, preparing them for professional careers in music.

🎓 About the Programme
The MUSON Diploma School of Music is recognized for delivering music education that meets international standards. The diploma course runs for two years and includes majors in the following instruments and voice:
Instruments: Piano, Organ, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Percussion, Classical Guitar
Voice (Vocal Studies)
Additional Requirements for All Students:
Voice students must pass Grade 2 Piano
Instrumentalists must take vocal techniques
All students must join the choir
String majors must participate in orchestra
Wind and percussion majors must join the band
📋 Admission Requirements
Academic Qualifications:
GCE O’Level or SSCE with credits in 5 subjects, including English Language, obtained at no more than two sittings.
Music Qualifications:
PRACTICAL: Grade 5 (or higher) pass certificate from MUSON School or any recognized examining body (e.g., ABRSM, Trinity).
THEORY: Grade 5 (or higher) pass certificate from MUSON School or any recognized examining body.
Applicants who do not yet meet the theory requirement but display exceptional practical talent may be offered conditional admission. Such students must enroll in and pass a remedial theory course in their first year.
