🧾 About the OGS
The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) supports graduate students (both Canadian and international) at publicly-funded universities in Ontario. The scholarship is merit-based and encourages academic excellence.
It’s jointly funded by:
The Government of Ontario (2/3)
The participating university (1/3)
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must:
Be enrolled in or applying to a full-time master’s or doctoral program.
Commit to at least two academic terms (21 to 52 weeks) in an eligible institution.
Meet the academic merit requirements of your chosen school.
Apply through a participating Ontario university.
💰 Scholarship Value & Duration
$10,000 for 2 consecutive terms
$15,000 for 3 consecutive terms
Minimum: 1 year of funding (2–3 terms)
Maximum: 2 years of funding (up to 6 terms)

📑 How to Apply (Step-by-Step)
1. Select a participating university.
2. Visit that university’s graduate studies website for their OGS process and deadline.
3. Complete the OGS application via that school’s portal.
4. Prepare these documents:
Academic transcripts
Academic references
Personal statement
Research proposal (if required)
5. Submit your application before the school’s individual deadline.

If applying to multiple universities, submit separate OGS applications for each.
OGS is competitive and based on academic merit, not financial need.
