Applications are now open for the 2025 National Health Fellows Programme. The programme brings together a cohort of emerging Nigerian professionals across various disciplines — including health and health-related fields, information technology, and social sciences.
Fellows will undergo rigorous training, mentorship, leadership development, and exposure to best practices within the Nigerian health space. The aim is to cultivate a new generation of skilled and motivated health leaders capable of driving meaningful change and innovation in Nigeria’s health sector.
The National Health Fellows Programme is an initiative of the Government of Nigeria, led through the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative (SWAp Coordination Office) under the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.

🧩 Eligibility Requirements
Must be between 25 and 35 years old.
Hold a Bachelor’s degree (in a health-related field, IT, or social sciences).
Demonstrable interest or experience in:
Public health, OR
Health-related NGOs and partner organisations, OR
Community projects demonstrating leadership and initiative.
Must be available full-time for the duration of the fellowship.
Must be an indigene of the state being applied for.
Must possess a smartphone with data capability (for WhatsApp, Zoom, etc.).
Must present a recommendation letter from:
University Dean, OR
NYSC place of primary assignment, OR
A respected organisation attesting to character and leadership.
Demonstrated analytical skills, entrepreneurial drive, and leadership potential.
Interest or experience in primary healthcare or community-based projects is an advantage.

💰 Stipend
Fellows will receive a monthly stipend to support participation and living expenses during the programme.
