About the ZNF AI and Data Science Scholarship
The Zeribe Nwosu AI and Data Science Scholarship (ZNS AIDS) is the foundation’s inaugural scholarship programme focused on equipping young Nigerians with in-demand ICT skills.
The scholarship targets students and recent graduates who wish to build careers in AI, data science, and analytics, while complementing their academic degrees with practical, industry-relevant skills.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the ZNF AI and Data Science Scholarship, applicants must:
Be at least in Year 4 of undergraduate studies OR not more than one (1) year post–project defense
Be a student or graduate of a Nigerian university or polytechnic (public or private)
Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (from Years 1–3)
Have no restriction on field of study
CGPA Conversions
For institutions using a 4.0 scale:
Minimum of 2.8/4.0 or 70%
Medical students must submit:
Year 1 results
Evidence of “Pass” in Year 2–3 subjects
Graduates must have a final CGPA of at least 3.0/5.0 or a 60% equivalent

Curriculum Vitae (CV) (1–2 pages)
Must include a section listing AI/Data Science tools used or developed
One Letter of Recommendation (1–2 pages, on official letterhead)
Unofficial Academic Transcripts (Years 1–3; additional transcripts for finalists or graduates)
Statement of Need (100–200 words)
Work / Practical Portfolio, showing experience in AI or Data Science, such as:
Publications
GitHub profile
Software or mobile applications
Websites or databases
Data analysis dashboards
Portfolios may include evidence of skills in:
Programming & statistics
SQL
Power BI
Tableau
Data visualization
Machine learning
Analytical problem-solving
Applicants may package their portfolio in any suitable format.
