Moving around campus is about to look different at Obafemi Awolowo University, following the arrival of 50 buses and 30 tricycles to support student transportation.
The vehicles were donated by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, an alumna of the university, in a move aimed at improving mobility and easing daily movement within the school.
University management described the donation as a major boost to student welfare, noting that the new transport system is expected to reduce the stress many students face getting to lectures and other activities on campus.
The institution also acknowledged the role of Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi in facilitating the delivery of the vehicles, appreciating his continued support for education and student wellbeing.
Although the buses and tricycles have already started operating, the system is still being fine-tuned. Management says adjustments are ongoing, including route planning, scheduling, and general operations to improve efficiency and safety.
Students have been asked to be patient as the process continues, with assurances that feedback and concerns will be reviewed and addressed.
