Nigeria’s revered evangelist and Christian leader, Dr. Uma Ukpai, has passed on to glory at the age of 80.
According to a report by Church Gist, the renowned preacher died in Lagos, marking the end of a remarkable life of faith, service, and spiritual impact.
Dr. Ukpai was a founding father of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and the founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, an interdenominational ministry known for its crusades and humanitarian work across Nigeria and beyond.
Described as a “beacon of light and a source of inspiration to many,” Dr. Ukpai devoted his life to preaching the gospel and raising leaders within the Christian faith.
Tributes have begun to pour in from religious leaders, congregants, and admirers across the country, celebrating his legacy of evangelism and compassion.
“Rest in eternal glory, God’s elect,” Church Gist wrote in its tribute post.
