Controversial TikToker and content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has announced that he has secured admission to study Law at a private university in Lagos State.
In a video shared on his TikTok page on Saturday, the content creator expressed excitement over the development, describing it as a turning point after years of online criticism about his educational background.
The viral video showed Peller walking into a building with a statue of justice positioned at the entrance, as he suggested that his enrolment had changed how he should be perceived.
Although he declined to disclose the name of the institution, Peller said the admission marked a personal victory over critics who had mocked him for not attending university.
“Everybody has been criticising me for not being educated, as if I’m the first person who didn’t attend university,” he said.
“Now, all of you should leave social media because I’m in school.”
“I’m now studying law. You can’t mess with me anymore. I know the law,” he added.
PUNCH Online reports that the TikToker has, over the years, faced criticism on social media, with some users describing him as “lousy” and “uneducated.”
Earlier this month, Peller disclosed plans to further his education, noting that the decision was partly aimed at improving his spoken English.
The announcement comes amid recent public attention on the content creator following controversy surrounding the visit of American streamer IShowSpeed to Nigeria.
Peller had attempted to meet the streamer for a possible collaboration but was reportedly prevented by members of the security team. Despite repeated attempts, including riding a horse while calling out to the streamer, he was unsuccessful.
After the incident, Peller accused members of the security team of demanding ₦1 million before granting him access to IShowSpeed.
“Bouncer dey tell me say make I bring ₦1 million to see IShowSpeed. Imagine,” he said in a video.
“Na so e dey collect money from other people.”
