The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that registration for the 2025 WASSCE for Private Candidates (GCE) – Second Series is ongoing.
The deadline for registration has been extended to Sunday, September 7, 2025, while PIN generation closes on Friday, September 5, 2025. Candidates are therefore advised to complete both their biometric capturing and online registration before the deadline.

Registration is online only via www.waeconline.org.ng.
Candidates must first obtain a Registration PIN from accredited banks or agents.
Biometric features (fingerprints) are compulsory and will be validated at exam centres.
Registration must be completed within two weeks of first login.

Walk-in Candidates: ₦45,000 (must register at least 24 hours before their paper).

The 2025 GCE will be Computer-Based (CBT) for the first time.

Candidates must appear in mufti (no uniforms).
