The High Chiefs Bode and Betty Osedimilehin Foundation has sponsored the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration fees for 300 indigent and less-privileged students across underserved communities in Ondo State.
The foundation disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, noting that the initiative was aimed at promoting access to education and ensuring equal opportunities for young Nigerians, regardless of their financial background.
According to the statement, the intervention forms part of the foundation’s broader mission to support students whose academic aspirations are often constrained by economic hardship.
“By eliminating the cost barrier associated with JAMB registration, the foundation is providing these students with a fair opportunity to pursue tertiary education and compete on equal footing with their peers,” the statement read.
It added that the beneficiaries were selected through a transparent, merit-based and community-driven process to ensure that the support reached those most in need.
The foundation further emphasised that education remains the most sustainable pathway to breaking the cycle of poverty and fostering long-term national development.
“HCCBO Foundation reaffirms its unwavering commitment to youth development, human capital growth and social inclusion, stressing that investment in education today represents a strategic investment in the future of Nigeria,” the statement noted.
The High Chiefs Bode and Betty Osedimilehin Foundation was established in April 2024 by Dr Olabode Osedimilehin and his wife, Mrs Oluwatoyin Osedimilehin, with a focus on education, youth empowerment and community development.
